TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police suspected Fazri Pahlawan a.k.a. Abu Zee Ghuroba as the major figure of the terrorist network in Cilincing. The police spokesman Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono explained Abu Zee, who was arrested on Monday, September 23, was a leader of a group that was affiliated with Jaringan Ansharut Daulah (JAD).

“Abu Zee is the leader who coordinates his men to join [the terrorist group] to Bekasi,” Argo told reporters, Tuesday, September 24.

On Monday, September 23, the police’s Special Counter-Terrorism Detachment 88 (Densus 88) apprehended Abu Zee and seven other suspected terrorists, namely Haydar, Asep Roni, Igun Gunawan, Sandi Purnama, Sutiah, Awal Septo Hadi, Muhammad Arshad, and Eka Hendra Utama.

According to Argo, Abu Zee had joined a military training in Mount Salak, Bogor, and accused of being the mastermind behind planned attacks to several office buildings and police posts.

During a search in Muhammad Arshad’s house in Cilincing, the police discovered explosives made of triacetone triperoxide (TATP).

Abu Zee was also taught martial arts every Sunday morning in Paris Residence complex in Bekasi and officiated a marriage of his members in his house on Jalan Trias, South Tambun, Bekasi, West Java.

The police also found in Abu Zee’s house pieces of evidence proving his affiliation with the terrorist group JAD, including the flag of Islamic State (ISIS) and two arrows.
