TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Information about routes affected by the extended odd-even policy to be applied by the Jakarta administration goes viral on social media platforms. The capital's Transportation Agency did not deny the issue.

Through its Instagram account @atcs_jakarta on Friday, August 2, the agency called on the public to wait for the official clarification.

The circulating letter bearing the agency’s and Jakarta Traffic Police’s logos noted that the dissemination of the extended policy would last from August 5 to 31 in the designated areas.

The program will also affect two-wheeled vehicles as previously conveyed by the agency head, Syafrin Lupito.

The agency and the police will socialize the traffic policy on Jl. RS Fatmawati, Jl. Panglima Polim, Jl. Sisingamangaraja, Jl. Pramuka, Jl. Salemba Raya, Jl. Kramat Raya, Jl. Gunung Sahari, Jl. Majapahit, Jl. Gajah Mada, Jl. Hayam Wuruk, Jl. Suryoprayanto, Jl. Balikpapan, and Jl. Tomang Raya.

The Transportation Agency, the National Police's Traffic Directorate, the Greater Jakarta Transportation Agency (BPTJ), and the Jakarta Police are reportedly finalizing the plan during a meeting at the Jakarta Police's headquarters today, August 2.

The planned implementation of the odd-even policy is among the programs of the Jakarta Gubernatorial Instruction concerning air pollution control issued by Governor Anies Baswedan on Friday, August 1.
