TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan assured that property and industrial developers, such as the China Fortune Land Developer (CFLD), are serious in investing in Indonesia. The plan was discussed in a meeting with CFLD’s CEO at his office today, July 23.

“They intend to invest, which is why they came,” said Luhut at his office at MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, July 23.

However, Minister Luhut kept tight on the value of the investment but he said that the property company had previously invested a large amount of money in Indonesia

The developer invests on two major residential and industrial district projects since 2016 with a total valuation of Rp19 trillion. CFLD built Lavon Swancity residency in Tangerang and Karawang New Industry in, West Java.

This, according to the minister, is a result of the government’s attempt to simplify the models of bureaucracy for business permits in the country. One of the attempts done by the government is through the Online Single Submission (OSS).
