TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto asked the mass joining May 22 rally to leave the demonstration location around the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) office, Central Jakarta.

“Please return to your homes. Avoid any action against the law,” he half-begged via a video published on his Twitter @prabowo at 23:22 Jakarta time, Wednesday, May 22.

He urged supporters to give in and comply with the prevailing law and demanded them to have faith in his team that is currently taking a legal, constitutional way to challenge the presidential election outcome.

The Gerindra party chief further called on supporters to concern about public interests. “So I appeal to you all to remain calm and patient,” he underlined.

Additionally, Prabowo demanded law enforcers wisely refrain themselves because all parties are looking for the best solution for this country. “This is my appeal.”

A riot broke in the Bawaslu office while the mass joined in People's Sovereignty National Movement staging a rally against the election result announced by the Election Commission (KPU) early Tuesday, May 21. The clash continued until early hours in Tanah Abang areas as the police tried to turn away the mass from Bawaslu headquarter.
