TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A fire that burnt Tanah Abang Market’s Block C has been extinguished on Monday afternoon, April 22 at around 10:00 a.m. Jalan Jati Baru Raya Bengkel that was previously closed due to the incident has been reopened and returned to normal.

“It returns to normal. People is now allowed to pass the road,” said an officer of the Transportation Agency around the site, Monday, April 22.

Based on Tempo’s observation, the access closure to the market’s Block C caused long congestion until Jalan Jati Baru Raya, right before the entrance gate of Tanah Abang railway station. Civilian vehicles heading to Jalan KH Mas Mansyur must take U-turn to Jalan Jembatan Tinggi.
