TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Economic and Industry Committee (KEIN) member Benny Pasaribu said he helped presidential incumbent candidate Joko “Jokowi” Widodo preparing the final round of the election debate slated to be held on April 13.

KEIN is a presidential advisory board overseeing economic affairs and industry.

“I have all the materials [for the debate]. We deliver suggestion,” said Benny while showing a number of files stored in his smartphone, when Tempo met in Graha CIMB Niaga building, on Friday, April 12.

Benny said that other members of the Jokowi - Ma'ruf campaign team and ministers of the working cabinet had also come up with ideas for the number 01 candidate regarding the debate subjects. “Ministers give suggestions based on their own sector on what they have achieved,” he added.

The fifth debate of the 2019 presidential election will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2019. This final round will talk about issues on the economy and social welfare, finance, investment, and industry.

The former Solo Mayor, Benny reiterated, will explain his focus on the human resources as the main key of the strength of domestic competitiveness, and that during the five-year government, the President had built a foundation, including training system.

“He will describe the training payment through the pre-employment card and Indonesian smart card for the university student,” Benny added.

On the session, Jokowi would also extend his plan on the reformation of the industry sector. “In this case, the industry sector must be further set up so our manufacturers will use local raw material rather than import ones as to open more jobs,” Benny said.
