Ubud Food Festival 2019 to be Held on April 26

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The three-day culinary event Ubud Food Festival will be held again this year starting Friday to Sunday, on April 26-28. The festival carrying theme “Spice Up the World” presents various cross-cultural dishes with Indonesian as the star.
A total of 100 speakers will perform in this festival, comprised of chefs and food experts in gastronomy as well as national and international business people in the culinary industry.
The ticketed programs include Kitchen Stage in Indus Restaurant, and special events such as Masterclasses and Food Tours, Kids Events, and Celebrate Indonesian Food.
Meanwhile, the free entry events are Festival Hub at Taman Kuliner on Jalan Raya Sanggingan, Ubud with as many as 70 stalls selling foods, beverages, crafts, until cooking utensils.

Visitors will also find numerous Indonesian typical dishes from across its provinces such as Aceh, Ternate, Manado, and Bali. In addition, international cuisines from Thailand and Korea among others will be showcased as well.
The Festival Hub at Taman Kuliner is also home for free programs namely Food for Thought, Quick Bites, Teater Kuliner cooking stage, Kids Events, film screenings, and music show.
In a “Spice Up the World” discussion session, Founder and director of Ubud Food Festival, Janet DeNeefe, will join with Aceh Culinary Festival Wan Windi Lestari and Irmayani to talk about ideas in promoting Indonesian cuisines in the international scale.
