TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno campaign team (BPN) board of advisors Fadli Zon likened Prabowo’s recent stage antics during his recent campaign to that of Soviet Union’s Nikita Khrushchev during the 1960 United Nations General Assembly held in New York.

According to Fadli, Prabowo’s on stage expression at his campaign in Kridosono Stadium, Yogyakarta on Monday was a spontaneous reaction and a stage dynamic that he deemed not an unusual thing to see.

“It’s normal to see something like that. [Prabowo’s] table banging was even seen once in the UN general assembly involving Krushchev. It’s normal, and it became a historical moment,” said Fadli at the Senayan Parliament Complex on Tuesday, April 9.

Prabowo Subianto’s fiery campaign in Yogyakarta saw the presidential candidate banging on his podium on stage while mentioning about the true role of Indonesia’s military and police forces, which he maintained should only serve the people and not a small group of “foreign allies” or “antek asing”.

His oration had Amien Rais, who was sitting at the background, approach Prabowo to calm him down.
