TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Greater Jakarta Transportation Agency (BPTJ) head, Bambang Prihartono, has spoken about the lingering issues of the provision of an online ojek (motorcycle taxi) shelter in MRT Jakarta Dukuh Atas station, Central Jakarta.

The shelter provision is one of the government’s effort to overcome disorders prompted by ojek drivers who loitered near train station gates.

During the process, one of the online ojek operators, Go-Jek, threw the issue to MRT Jakarta. “I’ve checked to Go-Jek, and they waited for the map from MRT,” said Bambang Wednesday, March 20, when met at a discussion in KADIN Tower, South Jakarta.

When Bambang met MRT Jakarta secretariat head, Muhammad Kamaludin, for confirmation. “He (Pak Kamal) said that he has [sent the map] and met Go-Jek,” said Bambang, adding that Go-Jek wanted to formalize the map delivery.

The map in question is the Point of Interest (PoI) that manages the Transit of Development area of Dukuh Atas, including online ojek shelter.

Therefore, Bambang underlined that his side would continue to assure the realization of the shelter provision.

Since November 2018, Bambang said that Jabodetabek Commuter Line's entrance and exit have become messy because online motorcycle taxis are parked in clusters. He had asked ride-hailing operators to coordinate with PT KAI to overcome the issue.

According to Bambang, the BPTJ recorded a total of 17 disordered stations caused by online ojek. However, the improvement has yet been carried out in all those stations.
