TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian ride-hailing app GoJek officially introduced the beta version of its taxi and delivery services in Thailand's capital of Bangkok on December 15, 2018.

"We recently launched a limited beta testing phase in Bangkok, covering Chatuchak, Lad Proa, Wang Thong Lang, Bang Rak, and Sathorn," said a GoJek Thailand spokesman as reported by Tech in Asia on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

The GoJek application has been available in Thailand since November 2018 for both Android and iOS users. They claimed that the application has been downloaded by 1,000 people in Bangkok.

The presence of GoJek in Bangkok puts them head-to-head with Grab that has already entered the market prior to GoJek's arrival.

This marks GoJek's fourth country expansion after entering a number of ASEAN countries including; Singapore, Philippines, and Vietnam.
