Eco-friendly Residence of Weston Energy Built Within 5 Days

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An energy industry startup Weston Energy planned to develop eco-friendly temporary residence for disaster victims. The house would be equipped with a psychological treatment facility for victims.
“This residence is a collaboration between Weston and several partners, and that can be built within five days,” said Founder and CEO Weston Energy Wynn Nathaniel in a written statement on Wednesday, November 7, adding that the house would use solar power as the electric system.
Established since 2015, Weston Energy is a renewable energy startup with a principle of socialpreneur to contribute in lighting remote villages. Weston is the second class alumni of accelerator program GK-Plug and Play Indonesia.
Palu and Donggala earthquakes, as well as other quake points in Indonesian regions such as Badung, Mamasa, Lombok, and Sangihe, were the basis of the ideas.
“In the near future, we will hold charity concert with Indonesian musician to invite the public to partake [in the program], actualize our collaboration work for Palu and start the project immediately to provide a decent temporary house for disaster victims,” Wynn said.
Weston Energy was currently raising a charity to several parties to realize the temporary house program. According to him, the money collected from the charity has reached 50 percent of the program realization.
“The residence is equipped with facilities such as children’s school, activity room, prayer room, toilet. All facilities are supported by the eco-friendly electric system which is solar power and clean water supply system,” Wynn added.
