TEMPO.CO, Bandarlampung - Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported a tectonic earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 Richter scale on Tuesday morning, October 30, at 4:11:17 a.m. in the Sunda Strait.
According to BMKG, the 5.2 RS earthquake was at coordinates 6.92 degrees south latitude (LS) and 105.00 degrees east longitude (BT), with a depth of 10 km.
BMKG stated that the earthquake was 140 kilometers southwest of Pandeglang, 144 kilometers southwest of Lebak, 150 kilometers southwest of Cilegon, 157 kilometers southwest of Serang, Banten Province, and 219 kilometers southwest of Jakarta.
BMKG confirmed that the earthquake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami.
