TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After submitting his resignation letter as Jakarta Deputy Governor on Friday, August 10, Sandiaga Uno ensured all programs planned by him and Governor Anies Baswedan would be further continued, especially the economic programs he initiated.
Sandiaga appealed to the Jakartans to have no worries since he left the capital after serving about ten months. “The governor really understands the program, he also quite details. I have faith in him that he can [continue the program],” said Sandiaga as quoted from Tempo Magazine of Monday, August 13.
The economy programs initiated by Sandiaga Uno were as follows:
1. OK OCE
Sandiaga Uno in his first campaign pledged to open new jobs through his entrepreneurship program dubbed OK OCE. The program was expected to employ 200,000 new entrepreneurs in five years. The city government planned to hold training, coaching class, and revolving loans through regional-owned lender Bank DKI. The plan was not fully operated.
2. Zero DP house
The zero percent down-payment housing program was initiated by Sandiaga Uno. The regional government was currently establishing the management board, drafting the regulation, and building the housing complex along with the construction developer PD Pembangunan Sarana Java.
3. Establish more culinary centers
Sandiaga through the Cooperation and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Agency determined to establish a culinary festival in several regions of Jakarta, one of them is in Condet, East Jakarta. However, the number was limited.
4. Provides staple foods at a cheap price
Sandiaga had previously visited regions to get the supply of staple food at cheaper prices. The affordable staple foods would later be provided to the low-income people, including those people having KJP Plus. The program was also held by the past governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok.
