Sri Mulyani in G20 Meeting: Developed Country Must be Consistent

TEMPO.CO, Buenos Aires - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, during G20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, explained the fundamentals of policy consistency for developed countries considering the policy change would affect the global economy.
The statement was based on the written statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Buenos Aires, on Tuesday, July 24. Sri Mulyani attended the meeting for two days on July 21-22 along with Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor Doddy Waluyo.
International trade was the key issue during the meeting as it has an impact on the risk of global economic development and global volatility.
Sri Mulyani also asserted the importance of transparency and communication on economic policy in developed countries. She also mentioned that Indonesia fully supported the G20 infrastructure program, especially the extent of Global Infrastructure Hub until 2022.
Indonesia also agreed with G20 to assign OECD Task Force for digital economy in a bid to enhance a deal with regards to the tax issue on the digital economy.
As a speaker of "Future of Work" related to the impact of digital technology, Sri Mulyani said the fiscal support was needed to increase the human resource and improve the skills. "At the same time, we must develop the utilization of the Big Data in a decision making," she said.
