Batik Air Airbus A320 Delivery Arrives in Soekarno Hatta Airport

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An Airbus A320-200CEO was flown from Toulouse, France, to Indonesia that is marked as the 41st unit delivered for Indonesian carrier Batik Air, which is part of the Lion Air Group.
“The plane that is registered as PK-LZI has arrived at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang,” said Batik Air Chief Executive Officer Captain Achmad Lutfie on Monday.
According to Lutfie, as mentioned in the press release, the plane traveled for a duration of 19 hours and 20 minutes and conducted two transits at Abu Dhabi International airport and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport before its touchdown on Indonesian soil.
Batik Air’s latest A320 will accompany the rest of its fleet that is composed of forty A320 airplanes, six units of Boeing 737-900ER, and eight Boeing 737-800NG which all serves business and economy class.
“We do hope that Batik Air will continue to serve a better flying experience for customers of the premium services class,” said Lutfie.
Lutfie stated that he is confident that the latest addition will improve the airliner’s daily on time performance (OTP). Batik Air is currently recording an average daily OTP of 88 – 90.3 percent.
