TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry and the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) issued recommendations for people living near or around Bali's Mount Agung, which erupted again on July 2 and 3.
The Energy Ministry calls on hikers and visitors to steer clear of the 4-kilometer radius of the volcano's crater. The size of the perimeter is temporary and may change depending on the development of situations.

The Ministry also urges people who live and have activities near rivers that run from the mountain's area to be on alert of possible secondary dangers, which is lava flowing through the river when there is heavy rain.
Meanwhile, the BNPB recommends evacuees not to leave the Karangasem Regency area, so that all process of evacuations and evacuee management would be easier to handle.
The BNPB also calls on the public to remain calm and not listen to issues or rumors that are not verified.
"Please refer to information provided by the PVMBG, which is the official agency," BNPB said in a statement released on Monday, July 2.
