TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 51st annual event Pekan Raya Jakarta (PRJ) or Jakarta Fair was closed by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan on Sunday night, July 1, 2018. PT Jiexpo Kemayoran marketing director Ralph Scheunemann said the closing was wrapped by door prizes and music performance by national band Sheila on 7.

“Home Affairs Minister will also present with the governor,” he told Tempo on Sunday.

During the closing program, PRJ provided two cars and 8 motorcycles as door prizes for visitors. The total gifts since its opening on May 23 amounted to 40 motorcycles and 4 cars.

Ralph explained fireworks would enliven the closing ceremony at around 21:30 local times and also music performance by the national band from Yogyakarta. “We present Sheila on 7,” he added.

Ralph mentioned per Thursday, June 28, 5.6 million people visited the fair. The target visitors was at 6 million. Ralph optimistic more than 140,000 people would visit the closing program.

The 51st Jakarta Fair was supported by 2,700 companies in 1,500 booths displaying various products. According to Ralph, as of Sunday last week, the transaction reached Rp6.1 billion. Thus until the closing, he expected the figure would be increased to Rp7 billion.
