TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia's president director Pahala Nugraha Mansury said his company was offering discounts of over 50 percent for flights to Jakarta beginning June 8-24.
“The flights from Tanjung Karang, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Denpasar,” he said at the Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta Airport, Monday, June 11.
Pahala explained the discounts were aimed at attracting more people to come to the capital and only available during Eid holidays.
Pahala said no Garuda flights had experienced delays of more than 40 minutes during the homecoming exodus. He added there were only slight delays due to high flight frequency and those attributable to airport facilities.

Two directors are placed at the airport during Eid Day to monitor activities. “There will be Pak Nicko and Pak Wayan who will be monitoring on Eid Day and the day after,” said Pahala.
Pahala also said that the threat of a mass strike by Garuda Indonesia pilots had become a new experience for the company in the holiday season, and that he was glad the situation had been under control.
“Now [the situation with the pilots] is facilitated by the task force and several meetings have taken place," he said.
