TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Central Jakarta Police are ready to accommodate the motorcycles of travelers during the Eid al Fitr`s homecoming period.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Commissioner Roma Hutajulu said the police can accommodate about 100 motorcycles at the Central Jakarta Police station. "We can accommodate about a hundred of motorcycles during the homecoming," said Rome when contacted by Tempo, Thursday, June 7.
Gambir Police Chief AKBP Anggun Cahyono is also ready to accommodate the motorcycles of the residents in the area. But he admitted that the capacity of Gambir Police parking lot is yet unknown. "But we are ready to adjust with the existing office capacity," said Anggun.
Previously, Jakarta Police Head of Public Relations Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said the home-comers are allowed to leave their vehicles at the police station as long as its capacity is sufficient.
All police stations in Jakarta; both Resort Police and Sector Police offices, will accommodate the vehicle for free. They will only be asked to show the identity card and a motor vehicle certificate.
“But the vehicles cannot be left in Jakarta Metro Police HQ because we use the area,” said Argo.
