PKS Disagrees if Its Candidates Replaced with Anies Baswedan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A politician from the Prosperity and Justice Party (PKS) Mardani Ali Sera stated the party disagreed if the nine names that have been offered to be the vice presidential candidate are replaced with Anies Baswedan.
“Based on the recent situation, we didn’t agree the nine candidates are replaced with Anies Baswedan,” said Mardani in Menteng, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 19.
According to Mardani, a lot of possibilities might raise until August considering that in the 2017 Gubernatorial Election Anies, Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno ticket was nominated in the last minutes by coalition party Gerindra and PKS.

Previously on April 15, PKS President Sohibul Iman declared his party will join the coalition with Gerindra so long the candidate for Prabowo Subianto’s running mate is chosen from the list offered by PKS.
The nine candidates are Ahmad Heryawan, Hidayat Nur Wahid, Anis Matta, Irwan Prayitno, Sohibul Iman, Salim Segaf Al Jufri, Tifatul Sembiring, Al Muzzammil Yusuf, and Mardani Ali Sera.
