24 Candidates of Regional Election Have Not Reported Their Wealth

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has accepted 1,126 wealth reports of candidates for 2018 Regional Election. As many as 24 candidates of regional heads out of the total of 1,150 registered candidates have not reported their wealth.

“Based on the latest data, 1,126 candidates of regional heads have reported their wealth,” KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah said on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The data was updated on Saturday at 2 a.m. Meanwhile, registration to electronic wealth reporting (LHKPN) was closed on Friday at 5 p.m. KPK prepared ten desks to accept reports. In addition, he went on, regional head candidates can report their wealth through e-LHKPN.

Febri explained that this report is crucial since people can judge the openness of the candidates who will lead their regions. "So people can choose regional heads who are clean and able to lead their regions better," he added.
