300,000 Vehicles Leave Jakarta for New Year Holiday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga recorded that at least 300,000 vehicles have left Jakarta through Jagorawi toll road, Jakarta-Tangerang toll road, and Jakarta-Cikampek toll road ahead of the Year End holiday.

"This number grows by 11 percent from the average daily traffic,” said PT Jasa Marga AVP Corporate Communication in a written statement on Saturday (31/12).

Heru added those vehicles are expected to head to East Java, Central Java, and East Java.

"We urge the holiday makers to anticipate the surge in traffic by updating the latest traffic information that you can get from Jasa Marga Traffic Information Center (14080)," Heru said.
