TEMPO.CO, JakartaEnergy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan sets to put into effect one-price fuel policy all across Indonesia in 2017.

"The implementation of this policy will begin next year after the regulation is officially issued," Jonan stated in Jakarta, on Friday (21/10).

Jonan went on to say that President Joko Widodo’s one-price fuel policy is a great breakthrough.

"The fuel price from Sabang to Mearuke and from Miangas to Rote will be the same, so all Indonesians will have the same fuel price," he said.

Jonan claimed that he will follow up President’s plan by immediately issuing a ministrial decree as a legal regulation for the policy.

He has not been able to explain much on the content of the regulation. However, he pointed out that the regulation serving as technical guidelines will be made fair.
