Jakarta Prepares Grant Scheme for Building Construction in Garut

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government plans to assist the rebuilding of homes that swept away by flash flood in Garut.
Jakarta City Secretary, Saefullah disclosed that his party will make a report to Jakarta Governor and Vice Governor about grant scheme and the corporate social responsibility (CSR) for flood victims whose houses were destroyed.
"I'll coordinate with Governor and Vice Governor, whether it is through grant scheme can be realized in 2017 or from CSR to help the flood victims," he stated, in Garut, Thursday (10/20).
He explains, the aid request is based on the needs of citizens that submitted to the Vice Regent of Garut, Helmi Budiman.
"Vice Regent says the current priority is homes that have been destroyed by flash flood," he disclosed.
Initially, Vice Regent of Garut, Helmi Budiman took a conversation with Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama through a cell phone. Helmi said that hundreds of citizens in Garut have lost their homes.
"Next year, we'll try to get the aid. Garut Regency Administration will soon process and propose grant related to this social aid," he finished.
