TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama has unveiled the Tanjung Elang Berseri Integrated Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) on Pramuka Island, the Thousand Islands Regency.
"I want all residents of the island to use their best efforts to maintain and preserve the RPTRA, to keep it clean and well-kept," Ahok said on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the RPTRA, as quoted by Antara news agency.
Ahok also expected that the RPTRA will be used by locals, particularly to mingle and share their thoughts.
"The RPTRA will enable residents to gather on a regular basis and [they] have to care about each other. If a person is ill, dropped from school or having domestic problems, other [residents] must be aware of them and find solutions together," Ahok said.
The Tanjung Elang Berseri RPTRA was built on a 1,300-square-meter land by PT Astra Internasional on Pramuka Island, Thousand Islands.
It has a playground, an amphitheatre, a futsal pitch, beach volley court, medicinal plants and other plants. CCTV cameras have also been installed in the area.
