"We don’t want to find out later that there are incomplete technical rules," she said on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
She also said that the Tax DG is ready to meet the state revenue target for this year, which includes a Rp165-trillion proceed from the tax amnesty retribution.
The Finance Ministry has completed three regulations on tax amnesty. The first is the provision of the Tax Amnesty Law's implementation. The second is on how to repatriate taxpayers' assets from abroad and which instruments the assets should be invested in. The third is a regulation the banks appointed as gateways and recipients of repatriated funds.
Yesterday, a taxpayer repatriated Rp458 billion of his/her assets. The taxpayer, whose identities remain undisclosed, becomes the first tax amnesty participant to bring home his/her funds.
