TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Agriculture Minister, Amran Sulaiman, has warned feedlotters not to tamper beef price. He said he will punish those who attempt to up the price in the market.
"We will warn, then cut import quota, then revoke their recommendation," said Amran.
Amran added that feedlotter needs also to monitor beef price up to the butcher house. “Feedlotter needs to be responsible with distribution,” he said.
As for the beef price, he claimed that he has cut distribution chain by a half. "In East Nusa Tenggara, the distribution cost used to be Rp 1.8 million, now is only Rp 320,000," he said.
