TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Commission X of the House of Representatives urged the Economic Creative Agency (Bekraf) to pay close attention to two creative industry sub-sectors: culinary and handicraft, because it can provide significant effect for the economy.

"When Bekraf Chairman Triawan Munaf revealed his focus in three sub-sectors: film, application and music, two other sub-sectors should be added. Whether its culinary, handicraft, or art galleries," said Esti WIjayanti, a member of Commission X in a meeting with Bekraf on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.

During the meeting, Triawan explained that Bekraf will continue to try to boost the culinary and handicraft sector economic performance.

"Fashion and culinary subsectors have grown even before Bekraf existed, as well as handicraft and music. We will focus on how to improve," Triawan said.
