President Jokowi Returns from Russia

TEMPO.CO, JakartaAboard special presidential aircraft RI-1, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his entourage arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport 11:10 am local time Saturday from Sochi, Russia.

The RI-1 made a stopover at Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates at 10:20 pm local time Friday, and then left for Jakarta two hours after refueling.

Arriving at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, the president was greeted by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Rizal Ramly, Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, along with TNI Chief General Gatot Nurmantyo, and National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti.

During the visit to Sochi, President Jokowi was accompanied by a number of state officials including Coordinating Minister for Economy Darmin Nasution, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Minister for State Companies Rini Soemarno, and Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, in addition to chief of the presidential staff Teten Masduki.

Before leaving Sochi for Jakarta Friday, President Jokowi held a meeting with two groups of Russian business leaders to discuss possible investments in Indonesia.
