KPK Imposes Travel Bans on Suspects of Infrastructure BriberyCase

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has imposed travel bans on lawmaker Andi Taufan Tiro and Amran HI Mustary, head of the National Highway Construction Agency in the Maluku region.
Immigration Directorate General spokesperson Heru Santoso confirmed that KPK leaders had requested the immigration office to ban both suspects from travelling abroad for the next six months.
“Based on KPK leaders’ decision on April 22, 2016, both suspects are banned from travelling abroad for the next six months,” Heru said on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
Andi serves as a member of House of Representatives Commission V overseeing infrastructure and transportation. The anti-graft commission named Andi as a suspect for allegedly receiving Rp 7 billion (US$530,000) from PT Windu Tunggal Utama president director. Amran is suspected of arranging bribes for a number of Commission V lawmakers.
The KPK has also named five other suspects in the case, namely Budi Supriyanto, Damayanti Wisnu Putranti, Dessy A. Edwin, Julia Prasetyarini, and Abdul Khoir.
