TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - After the finding of Doctor Rica Tri Handayani and her son Zafran Alif Wicaksono on January 11, the Yogyakarta police has received many reports of missing persons. The total amount of people reportedly missing and allegedly going to Kalimantan is 78 people. From those reports, one person has been found and several others are under supervision.
“One person will be picked up in Ketapang, West Kalimantan. His name is Faza Anangga Novansyah, a resident of Mlati, Sleman,” said Yogyakarta police spokesperson Adj. Sen. Comr. Anny Pudjiastuti on Monday, January 18, 2016.
Most of the missing persons were reported to have gone to Kalimantan. After further investigation, including on Doctor Rica who allegedly joined the Fajar Nusantara Movement (Gafatar), many of the missing persons have been active in the organization.
Gafatar claimed to have disbanded in 2015 and allegedly had a program called exodus mainly to Kalimantan.
In Kalimantan, there is a camp that is specialized for agricultural program with group members as the program’s participants. In Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan, there are 5,000 hectares of lands that are allegedly used by Gafatar.
However, Anny said, not all of those reported missing are followers of Gafatar.
The police are following up on every report of missing person. Most of them allegedly went to Kalimantan to participate in Gafatar’s exodus program. “Whether they are linked to Gafatar or not, we are looking for them and helping the families that filed the report,” said Anny.
