TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Jakarta Metro Police Inspector General Tito Karnavian said that the police are currently investigating the shootout in the Directorate General of Mineral and Gas Office at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, South Jakarta. Tito promises that the police will find the perpetrator.
"We are in the middle of an investigation," he said. "Judging from the barrel, the shooter was using improvised firearm," said Tito.
Previously on Thursday, September 10, shootout took place at the Directorate General of Mineral and Gas near Plaza Centris, Kuningan, South Jakarta. Police have located bullets in the fourth floor, which happens to be the office of Ministerial Special Staff, Widyawan Prawiraatmaja.
