TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Approaching Eid al-Adha, as many as 110 examiners and 12 veterinarians have been on standby examining cattle and other sacrificial animals in some shelters.
"For the examiners we're cooperating with the Indonesian Veterinarian Association (PDHI) and The Bogor Agricultural University (IPB)," said Head of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-Department, Muljadi, Friday (9/4).
According to Muljadi, the animal will be examined by the examiners. Every animal which is worth to be sold will be given certificate and the trading place will also be given sticker stated examined.
"If the animal is sick, defect, or its age is not mature yet, it will be marked with red thus it would not be sold," he explained.
He added, vitamin and mineral will also be given to the animal for free.
