Indonesia to Host Asia-Pacific Tourism Expo in 2016

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia has been elected to host Asia-Pacific’s largest tourism and trade event PATA Travel Mart that will be held by Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in Jakarta in 2016.

In a visit to Indonesia on Saturday for the 39th event preparation, PATA CEO, Mario Hardy said the event is targeting participation of 60 countries.

“The 38th PATA Travel Mart in 2015 will be held in Bangalore, India, on September 6 to 8,” said Mario as quoted by Antaranews.

PATA Travel Mart is a flagship event by PATA  and one of the popular trade expos in Asia-Pacific. It provides international platform to exhibit international travel and tourism products. The event gathers hundreds of international consumers and sellers in one market.

Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) said he will give full support to the event.
