Ahok Forbids Civil Servants to Receive Parcels, Use Official Cars

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama has forbidden Jakarta civil servants to receive parcel during Eid al-Fitr celebration. Ahok said that parcel can be considered as a form of gratification from parties with certain interest.
"I will report such incidence to KPK," Ahok said on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
Moreover, Ahok added that Jakarta civil servants must not use official cars for homecoming purposes. Ahok claimed that government facility should be used for working purposes. "This has been a regular instruction since last year.They can board a train or rent a car," Ahok said.
Violating the instruction can result in disciplinary sanction, either verbal or written warning in accordance with Government Regulation No. 53/2010 on Civil Servant Discipline.
