TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the National Narcotics Agency, Commissioner General Anang Iskandar, said that the anti-drug curriculum as proposed by Surabaya City Administration is the first in Indonesia.
“I am so proud, especially that the program is launched in light of international narcotics day,” said Anang on his speech at the launching on Tuesday June 9.
Anang added that Surabaya will be a pilot project in the anti-drug curriculum program, which is also a constitution mandate. He said that the curriculum fits in Indonesia given the nation’s state of the having the highest narc abuse in ASEAN.
“We will also endorse rehab program,” he said. For rehabilitation, Anang targets 100,000 users in rehabilitation this year. The number is a drastic increase, compared to the initial target of only 2,000 users.
