TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tens of Indonesian indie films competed in 2015 Festival Taman Film in Bandung. As many as 50 registered participants from Bandung and outside of Bandung went through selection process before appearing in battle session.
“There are three catogories namely thriller, comedy and drama. We selected around a dozen from 50 submissions before the battle,” said Imelda, the a member of organizing comittee at Ruang Film Bandung on Saturday.
Bandung residents welcomed the event positively as they are engaged to the event as jury.
“I didn’t know there is such event when I came here. Then I was invited to be one of the voters for the films in the battle. It’s exciting. It kept me from spending too much money on Saturday night and I can enjoy it with friends and get more knowledge about films,” said Syahril Nur, one of the voters on the festival.
The festival had screened 10-minute duration short movies for one week before the final battle on Saturday.
