Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road Construction Likely to be Delayed

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bogor Regional Secretary Ade Syarif Hidayat said that the first phase of the construction of a toll road connecting Bogor, Ciawi and Sukabumi (Bocimi) is likely to be delayed.
The cause, he said, is that the land owned by PT Surya Mas, which is the developer of Rancamaya residential complex, has not been cleared.
From a 5.4 hectare of hand that has not been cleared for the construction of the toll road, the land owned by Rancamaya residential complex reaches 18,000 meter square of land.
In fact, Ade said that owner of the MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo has instructed an MNC group subsidiary PT MNC Tol Investasma to start working on the first phase of the toll road connecting Ciawi and Cigombong along 15,35 kilometer with the target of 24 months to be completed.
"As of now, PT. Surya Mas is not willing yet to clear the land. That’s why we’re going to meet to discuss the matter,” he said.
He also said that Bogor city government hoped that the construction of the toll road would go ahead as planned and be completed on time.
"Several piece of land owned by the residents have not been cleared. We, from Bogor city government, set the target that the first phase will be completed by the end of December,” he said.
