TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police Headquarters spokesperson Sr. Comr. Rikwanto, said that 12 Indonesians detained by the Turkish authorities will be entered to deradicalization program after being deported.
"They will enter deradicalization program by the BNPT [National Agency for Terrorism Eradication] in cooperation with local governments and clerics," said Rikwanto on Thursday, March 26, 2015.
In the program, the BNPT will examine the involvement of the Indonesians with ISIS activities. "Whether they join ISIS because of their own consciousness, brainwashing or families," said Rikwanto. "They wil be questioned and not all of them will be arrested."
According to Rikwanto, the detained Indonesians will be repatriated as soon as possible, in the next one to three days.
Meanwhile, the other four Indonesians are still in Turkey. Rikwanto said they are having problems with the Turkish immigration and have been admitted for further investigation. Moreover, one of them is pregnant.
