Aceh Revokes 22 Mining Licenses

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Government of Aceh revoked 22 mining permits (IUP) related to the Governor's Instruction No.11 / 2014 on the moratorium on mining permits that are inactive and do not provide revenues to the province.

"The licenses were revoked by Ache's regents and mayors," Said Ikhsan, chief of Aceh Mining and Energy Department (Distamben), said on Wednesday, March 10 during a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) dubbed 'Synchronization of the Work Plan SKPA' held by the department and the Aceh Anti-Corruption Movement (GeRAK Aceh).

Askhalani, coordinator of GeRAK Aceh, hopes the governor's instruction will facilitate dispute resolutions in the mining sector.

Listed below are 22 mining firms whose licenses in Aceh have been revoked, based on GeRAK Aceh's data:
