TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT inTouch Innovate Indonesia is working together with MarkPlus Center for Tourism & Hospitality to release mobile application called iWOW. The application is aimed to provide information about tourism attractions in Indonesia.
“Indonesia will not only become the biggest market and consumers for world’s mobile technology, but [Indonesia] will also become tech contributor for itself,” said Kendro Hendra the CEO of inTouch Innovate Indonesia at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Sudirman, Jakarta on Thursday.
According to Kendro, tourists would no longer need to search through books, magazines and brochures to look for hotel promotions.
“Using the location-based-service, tourists will know about nearby attractions or how to reach an address,” he added.
The app also offers a point reward feature where users can collect points from transactions and activities made through the app. The points can be redeemed for various products or services.
THe iWOW runs in Android, iOS, Windows, and BlackBerry with language options covering Indonesian, English, Chinese, and Japanese.
