Depok Mayor Raises Funds for Banjarnegara Landslide Victims

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Depok Mayor Nur Mahmudi Ismail held a fundraising activity for the landslide victims at Jemblung Village, Banjarnegara, Central Java. The fundraising was held during a briefing at the City Hall yard on Tuesday, December 16.
Eight money boxes were distributed to every row of the participants consisting of all department and subdistrict employees of Depok City. “Hopefully it will be useful for our brothers and sisters in Banjarnegara,” Nur Mahmudi said.
During the briefing, Executing Unit for Depok City’s Disaster Management also held a fundraising for Government employees of the city of Depok. “Especially for teachers,” Nur Mahmudi said.
Nur Mahmudi said the city of Depok plans to give a donation of Rp100 million to Banjarnegara and that he himself would handover the money on Wednesday, December 17. The total fund gathered so far is Rp27,292,000.
Head of Manpower and Social Department of Depok, Diah Sadiah, says the fundraising will massively be conducted by the Education Department.
Currently, Diah said, the Executing Unit for Disaster Management’s treasury still has enough fund to donate Rp100 million.
