TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - Deputy Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Busyro Muqoddas, said that the Hajj fund corruption case that involves former Religious Affair Minister Suryadharma Ali (SDA) will proceed next year.
"Next year, we will have to make a decision on the corruption case that involves SDA," said Busyro during the 'Anti-corruption Fest' event in Yogyakarta.
Busyro said that the Hajj fund corruption case can lead to other cases. However, he said that KPK has decided focus its investigation on the case that occurred under SDA's term as the Religious Affairs Minister. "If we track back [the case], we can have other findings," he said.
He also ensured that the case has nothing to do with political matters.
