TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Jakarta Police and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) conducted another drug sweep at the National University campus. The sweep began at 09:00 and is still on-going.
"We conducted the sweep after campus authorities filed a request." said a BNN staff, Fajar Novianto, which is assisted by a sniffer dog on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.
The sweep has yielded the police and BNN with evidences, including 6 kg of marijuana hidden at the Student Activities Unit, located towards the rear of the campus. "The marijuana was concealed underneath tables throughout the rooms in the Student Activities Unit," said Fajar.
Marijuana was not found in classrooms, but officials involved in the sweep said that the smell of marijuana smoke was still detectable. "I think they had enough time to throw the evidence into the toilets," added Fajar.
To date, campus authorities have yet to release any information relating to the on-going sweep.
