TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique, has claimed that Francesc Fabregas will leave the club in summer, but did not state to which club. Pique revealed the transfer plan to Spain’s coach, Vicente del Bosque, during an event to promote shin pad manufacturer, Carbures.
Although they exchanged words with their mouths covered, they did not realize that ASTV microphone remained active. "What did you talk about?" Del Bosque asked Pique.
The former United defender said he was trying to defend Fabregas. But del Bosque said Barca president was not going to be happy with Pique’s effort.
"He (Fabregas) told me it's all done," Pique said. "He’s going, 33 million he told me."
Since joining Barcelona in 2011, Fabregas was having a hard time to get his place at the senior team. The former Arsenal captain was linked to Chelsea and Manchester United.
