TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The once Indonesian sensation Irfan Bachdim decided to join with J-League club Venforet Kofu, as said in the club's official facebook page. "The player needs only to take the club's medical test," the statement wrote.
The deal established Irfan as the second player Indonesian footballer to play in J-League. Back in 1988, Ricky Yacobi was signed by FC Matsushita, now known as Gamba Osaka, despite failing to impress.
Irfan Bachdim, a member of FC Utrecht Academy before known for is career in AFF 2010, stated that he is glad with his new career. Irfan also hoped that his career in J-League can be a starter to other Indonesian players. "I know that there are a lot of qualified players in Indonesia," said Irfan.
