TEMPO.CO, London – Premier League supporters from Liverpool, Manchester, and London, joined forces to protest the skyrocketing football ticket price in Gloucester Place, London. The protesters were scheduled to meet Richard Scudamore, the League Executive Head, and discuss the increase of seasonal ticket price. They also complained about the ticket price and schedules for away matches.
The Spirit of Shankly, Liverpool's supporter group, mentioned that the price has jumped up to 710 poundsterling for 19 home games for the next season, equal to 9 percent increase compared to the ticket price for the last season.
Moreover, football lovers also had to change their schedule in order to accommodate broadcasting companies interest. Supporters must provide spare time to go to football mathces at midday in order to keep up with Asian market.
