TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo stated that the Jakarta administration is finding it difficult to provide subsidies for commuter trains serving Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek). The reason behind it was because the commuter lines are stretched across multiple regional administrations.
"It should be discussed with other administrations because the trains do not only serve Jakarta," said Joko at his office on Tuesday, May 7.
Joko added that, at the moment, it will be more appropriate to integrate commuter line with other modes of transportation in order to provide easy public access to mass transportation.
