Pertamina Ready for Two-Price Policy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Hanung Budya, Director of Marketing and Trade at state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero), said that all of the company's fuel stations are ready for the government's dual-price policy. Hanung said that all necessary preparations had been completed as of Friday, April 26.
"As Pertamina promised, everything is ready as of April 26," he said. Hanung said.
Pertamina's general manager for fuel retail marketing, Hasto Wibowo, said that the necessary equipment to support the policy had been distributed throughout all of the company's fuel stations in the Greater Jakarta area, Banten and West Java.
In Banten, Jakarta and West Java, Pertamina has 1,405 public fuel stations. In Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi, the company has 276.
In accordance with the instruction from the Energy andf Natural Resources Ministry, Hasto said, Pertamina will provide more subsidized fuel priced at Rp4,500 per liter in gas stations located on streets passed by public transports.
He estimated that 60 percent of fuel stations located in the Greater Jakarta area will be selling the Rp6,500-per-liter subsidized fuel allotted for private cars.
