Jokowi Shares Tips on How to Stay in Touch with Developments

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo shared the steps on how to grow with time and avoiding being out of date when opening the Indonesian Christian Students Movement (GMKI) XXXVI Congress.
The president said he kept on learning new skills to keep up with the ever-growing developments.
“Every day I learn about 3D printing and artificial intelligence. I wouldn’t be able to keep in touch with the current trends if I don’t learn,” the president said in Bogor, West Java on Friday, September 14.

Jokowi said nowadays' rapid developments were predicted to affect the 4.0 industry, which would change three times faster than the first industrial revolution.
Jokowi urged the students to be aware of this situation and learn new skills, in the hopes that Indonesian youths will boast comprehensive understanding in artificial intelligence, the internet, and virtual reality.
Representing his generation, President Jokowi also apologized to the audience, which mostly consists of youths, if the older generation seemed to lag behind the current developments.
